Accessibility statement

Everyone should be able to read this site, book a free estimate and reach us, on any device and with any assistive technology. Here is what we aim for, how we checked it, and what to do if something gets in your way.

What we aim for

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium.

How it was tested

Every page was tested in October 2026 against WCAG 2.1 Level AA:

  • An automated scan with axe-core on every page, at desktop and phone sizes.
  • Keyboard only: Tab, Shift and Tab, Enter, Space and the arrow keys, checking that every link and control can be reached, that the focus outline is always visible, and that nothing traps the keyboard.
  • A review of what assistive technology such as screen readers is given: page titles, headings, landmarks, image descriptions, button and link names, and the messages the estimate form gives.
  • Zoom to 200 percent, a screen 320 pixels wide, and increased line, letter and word spacing, checking that nothing is cut off or overlaps.
  • The reduced motion setting and the Pause animation switch.

What is built in

  • A Skip to main content link, the first thing the Tab key reaches on every page.
  • A Pause animation switch near the top of the home page. It stops the moving rail beside the sections, the work video and the photo drift, and this browser remembers the choice. If your device asks for reduced motion, the page starts paused. The work video also has its own Pause video button.
  • A visible outline on whatever has keyboard focus: gold on the dark sections, navy on the light ones.
  • Text that meets the WCAG contrast ratios: at least 4.5 to 1 for body text, and 3 to 1 for large text and for the edges of controls.
  • A written description for every photograph that carries information.
  • An estimate form with a label on every field, required fields marked in words, and any error explained in words under the field it belongs to.

Known limitations

  • Links to Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Generac’s dealer locator and Generac’s review form open sites run by other companies. We do not control how accessible those sites are. You can always reach us by phone or email instead.
  • The crawlspace clip on the home page is silent. It has no sound, so there are no captions; a written description of it sits next to it for screen readers.
  • The before and after photo sliders work with a mouse, with touch, or with the arrow keys once the round handle has focus. Each before photo and each after photo also has its own written description, so nothing depends on moving the slider.
  • On phones the row of section links at the top of the home page is hidden to save room. Every section is on the one home page, and every page of the site is linked in the list below and in the footer.
